Yesterday i had wonderful time at CITY HARVEST CHURCH overseen by Apostle Dr.Livingstone Banjagalla , it was very wonderful service full of blessings. But what made me so blessed are the sermons he taught in 1st and 2nd service titled AM STILL IN HIS HANDS and BLESSINGS OF THE FATHER.
What he taught was phenomeno and i meditated about those two sermons all day long and i was suprised by what God taught me about greatness. You know God is unpredictable, always new and he can teach a lesson in a lesson that's why he is great God. I understand that every human being greatest desire is to be a great person on earth. Sure thing is greatness is available to anyone who wants it but it costs to get it.
Remember this "only cheap things get sold but greatness costs what it costs", you have to get it into your head that anything worthy having has a price to pay whether you like it or not and mind you that the price always may not be as sweet as you think but is worthy it trust me. Now before you want to become a great person, you have first to know the characteristics of great people because they all have those in common. There are many things you will have to learn to be great person but fundamentals start with characteristics, in others words how they conduct themselves and here are 4 characteristics of great people,
i)MATURITY
If you want to become a great person in the world this is the first step you have to pass through. Maturity is not all about age or physical body as you think but maturity is about knowing your responsibility. You have to be responsible for everything. Great person knows that his life is in his own control not in someone's else so whatever happens in his life, he takes for accountability for it. And this level of maturity doesn't come with your age or body but it comes by your mindset. What mindset do you have about yourself?!..how you see yourself is how you respond to things outside you. Don't go around making people responsible for your life because they are not and will never be. You are the one who dictates everything in your life. whether you are a failure or success is your responsiblity only, so stop throwing zingaz on other people analyze yourself again.
Don't expect anyone to come and push you to do something no!..you have to motivate yourself every day and go out there and do something for your dream. No one will be interested to help you if you are not responsible person. People who are responsible are the ones who become great in life.
ii) PREPARATION.
One of my friends said "when opportunity meets preparation success is bound to occur", what a statement. And this is problem of many they want success but are not prepared. Let me tell you greatness is like a woman it's attracted, so if you want to seduce it you have to know what it likes and hates. If you know that and put yourself together in line with it's likes then will come to you. Okay, you want to be a business person question is do you know anything about business?..do you know how business people talk or think?..do you you read books or articles about business?..do you associate with them or just locking yourself up in the house and watch movies?....see if you can't do that how will you become a big business man?.
It's impossible for you to succeed even if they give you a huge opportunity because you are not prepared for anything. Do always be quick to chase success or greatness first seat down and learn their habits and characteristics, practice them until you become them. Opportunity favors only the prepared.
iii) HARD WORKING .
This part is where painful process of paying for greatness occurs. In your way to greatness you will meet alot of challenges and storms, sometimes it will reach a stage where you will want to give up but what will keep you going is hard working. A person who is hard working gets a crown of greatness. Hard working is being committed to what you do no matter what may prevail in your way to achievement. Here is where most people back down and enjoy the life of being ordinary. Results come only when you work hard towards your dreams,business,school,project everything, there is no short cut to that you have to go through the process and it's not comfortable or joyful process by the way.
iv) VALUE CREATORS.
Great person always believe that you become great by helping other people to become great. In other words your life will change when you start changing other people's lives. Heart of service is the most powerful strength great people have. You have to build the habit of serving others that's where your success is found. Don't be so selfish and greedy looking what's in for you always, you will never be a great person. You were created to add value in the world and your value will increase if you add value to others. To have a great dream, product or idea only is not enough but how does it serve your community, customers and country at large. That is great secret of being greatly successful in life, learn to serve people because people can't serve you if you can't serve them.
In whatever you want to initiate in your country or community first see how will it add value to them and change their lives. Believe you me there is nothing great than seeing lives have been changed because of you.
